CLARKSTOWN, NY — Police have identified the New York man killed in an early morning crash in Rockland County.
New York State Police say that on Monday, around 12:50 a.m., troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-87 north at mile post marker 21.7, north of Exit 12 in Clarkstown.
An initial investigation found that a 2009 Nissan was disabled, partially in the lane of travel and on the right shoulder of I-87 for unknown reasons, with all lights off. A 2014 Ford was traveling north on I-87 in the same lane when it rear-ended the Nissan, causing both vehicles to spin out across all lanes of travel and strike the median on the left shoulder.
