New City Small Business Spotlight: Bounce Back Women

Every local business has a story worth sharing with the community. And that’s the belief behind this exciting series — to shine the spotlight on all our favorite local businesses, and to learn a little about the ones we may not know that well.

My company is called Bounce Back Women. I came up with the name because I have overcome much adversity and I’ve seemed to always bounce back. It represents resiliency.

I wanted to coach women who needed to know they had choices in their lives. There are so many women who live in shame and guilt due to having adversity. I help them set goals and learn strategies. We are a community of secrets.
I’m a published author, strategic life coach and speaker.

The most difficult challenge I have found was finding women to accept help and to know that they are not alone. I have been through abuse, divorce, cancer, a child with an addiction, a special need’s grandchild and I am now a widow.

My proudest achievement has been my ability to make a difference to so many women. I’ve seen them go from scared and insecure, to knowing their worth and passing it forward themselves.

I give back to our community by doing lectures, speaking etc. without accepting a fee. During my darkest days, there was no support for me and I promised to give whatever I could so no woman should have to go through adversity alone.
