Palisades/I-87 Ramp Closure Expected To Last Until July: NYSDOT

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — A detour will be in place on a heavily traveled route in the Hudson Valley until mid-summer.

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) said the ramp from the southbound Palisades Interstate Parkway to Exit 9W (Interstate 87) northbound in the Town of Clarkstown will be closed until Monday, June 30, for construction work.

Posted detours will be in place for alternate routes, according to the NYSDOT.

"Lives are on the line; slow down and move over for highway workers!" Drivers are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
