• Driver Pleads Guilty, Faces Prison Time In Suffern Hit-And-Run: DA (patch.com) — New City readers should know that Rockland County prosecutors say a Suffern man has pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter and DWI after a hit-and-run that killed a 73-year-old pedestrian on Lafayette Avenue. He faces up to seven years in state prison at his April 8 sentencing, and officials say an off-duty sergeant helped quickly apprehend him after the crash.
