Rockland County Keeping Warming Center Open During Arctic Blast
The center in Pomona is open to homeless single adults, and there are pickup locations in Haverstraw, Nyack, Pomona and Spring Valley.
ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — The Rockland County Warming Center will be open all day Friday and Saturday due to the temporary frigid temperatures.
The center is open to homeless single adults.
The Warming Center opens each night at 5 p.m., regardless of the temperature, and remains open during the day when the temperature, including wind chill, is 32 degrees or below. The Center offers showers and laundry facilities. Dinner and breakfast are provided for overnight guests and lunch is served during the day when the center is open.

The facility at the Dr. Robert L. Yeager Health Center in Pomona is operated by Catholic Charities Community Services of Rockland.
The locations where individuals can be picked up for transportation to the Center and the pickup times are:

- Nyack- 4:25PM & 8PM South Broadway and Burd Street (in front of the First Reformed Church of Nyack)
- Haverstraw- 5PM & 6:20PM Village of Haverstraw Commuter parking lot (across from Village Hall)
- Spring Valley- 5:30PM & 7:05PM Spring Valley Parking lot west of Key Bank on Route 59 by Planet Fitness
- Pomona- Department of Social Services 5PM at 50 Sanatorium Road (at the bus shelter Monday-Friday only)
