CLARKSTOWN, NY — Everyone involved was fortunate to escape serious injuries after an SUV hit a school bus before slamming into a house in Rockland County.
Earlier Tuesday evening, the Clarkstown Police Department was called to a crash at the intersection of Laurel Road and Glenside Drive involving a Clarkstown Central School District school bus and an SUV.
The SUV struck the bus while it was making a left turn onto Laurel Road, officials said. Investigators said that preliminary reports indicate the SUV was traveling above the speed limit, causing it to veer off the roadway and smash into a nearby house.
