New Hyde Park Crime Blotter: Forged Checks Arrest, LA Fitness Thefts and Panty Thief

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department Third Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

New Hyde Park

Dec. 9: Assorted merchandise was stolen from a store on New Hyde Park Road between 4:45 p.m. and 5:53 p.m.
Dec. 9: A cell phone was stolen at L.A. Fitness at 1111 Marcus Ave. at 8 a.m.
Dec. 10: An unknown amount of cash was stolen from a location on Claundy Lane in North New Hyde Park between 10 p.m. on Dec. 10 and 6 a.m. on Dec. 12.
Dec. 10: Several electronic tablets were stolen from 1400 Union Turnpike in North New Hyde Park at 6:30 p.m.
Dec. 10: Police arrested an individual on a charge of possession of a forged instrument (checks) on Hillside Avenue in New Hyde Park at 9:10 a.m.
Dec. 11: A gym bag containing a checkbook, ID and bank cards was stolen at L.A. Fitness at 1111 Marcus Ave. at 9 p.m.
Dec. 12: Assorted panties were stolen from a store on Union Turnpike in North New Hyde Park at 8 p.m.
Dec. 15: A black watch and sweater were stolen from Sears at 1400 Union Turnpike in North New Hyde Park at 10:30 a.m.
Dec. 15: A duffle bag containing a leather wallet, credit cards, ID, keys, shoes and cash was stolen at L.A. Fitness at 1111 Marcus Ave. between 12:03 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Mineola

Dec. 3: CD's and a GPS were stolen from a location on Old Country Road between 10:30 a.m. and 6:20 p.m.
Dec. 16: Assorted health and beauty items were stolen from the King Kullen supermarket at 52 Jericho Turnpike at 7:45 p.m.
