New Hyde Park Crime Blotter: Hit and Run, Cars Robbed and Stolen

Third Precinct police responded to the following calls January 16 – 23 in New Hyde Park.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department Third Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

New Hyde Park


Jan. 17: Property was found moved from a gym locker to another location at the LA Fitness at 1111 Marcus Ave. in North New Hyde Park at 10 p.m.

Mineola


Jan. 17: A blue 2007 Chevrolet Trtailblazer was stolen from a home on Beebe Road between 9 p.m. on January 17 and 7:30 a.m. on January 18.
Jan. 17: Property was removed from a victim's two unlocked parked vehicles on Demott Street at 11 a.m.
Jan. 17: Property was removed from a locked parked vehicle on Garfield Avenue between 10:40 p.m. on January 17 and 11:10 a.m. on January 18. No damage was reported.
Jan. 17: Property was removed from an unlocked parked vehicle on Andrews Road between 4 p.m. on January 17 and 11:30 a.m. on January 18.
Jan. 17: Property was found damaged at a home on Front Street between 7 p.m. on January 17 and 9 a.m. on January 18.
Jan. 20: A hit-and-run occurred at the intersection of Grant Avenue and Mineola Boulevard at 7 p.m. when a pedestrian was struck by a dark colored Mazda which fled the scene.

Albertson


Jan. 16: Property was removed from an unlocked parked vehicle on Meadow Drive between midnight and 7:20 a.m.
Jan. 20: Property was removed from a locked parked vehicle on Garden Drive between 12:01 a.m. and 7 a.m. No damage was reported.
