Ridder's Pond Park Playground In New Hyde Park Gets An Upgrade

The playground was relocated to a safer part of the park away from traffic, and got new some equipment.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY—A new and improved Ridder's Pond Park playground is open to the public, the Town of North Hempstead announced Tuesday.

The playground was moved to an area with less traffic for the safety of children, the town said. The playground also has a new slide, swings and an orbit that's wheelchair accessible. The playground also got a new rubber safety surface.

Ridder's Pond Park is located at Marcus Ave and Meadow Farm Road in New Hyde Park.
