Auditions For NFCT's 'Wizard Of Oz' Take Place This Week

NORTH FORK, NY — The North Fork Community Theatre is set to breathe new life into a beloved classic.

Auditions for the musical "The Wizard of Oz" will be held on Tuesday, March 4, and Wednesday, March 5 at the Mattituck Presbyterian Church, located at the intersection of Old Sound Avenue, Love Lane, and Route 25.

Auditions for youth ages 8 through 15 will be at 5:30 p.m.; auditions for ages 16 through adults will be held at 7 p.m.

Those auditioning are asked to bring sheet music for a Broadway style song to sing for no longer than three minutes; an accompanist will be provided. Sheet music should be in the correct key for the person auditioning.

For young auditioners, the NFCT recommends singing "Over the Rainbow," for which they will not need to bring sheet music.

Those auditioning should wear comfortable clothing for movement and/or dance auditions.

Callbacks will be held on Thursday, March 6. In person auditions are preferred but for those unable to attend in person, an exception may be made by the director to allow a video audition.
