MATTITUCK, NY — Beloved North Fork business owners are bidding adieu: Joanne Cosonas and Tony Medina said this week on social media that as of May 5, they'd closed their doors of Agora - The Little Greek Market, for the last time.

The pair said that they were set to commence retirement.

The business was a haven on Pike Street in Mattituck, offering delicious pastries, spanakopita, imported cheeses, olives and delicacies, as well as art, jewelry, and other crafts native to Greece.

"As we are retiring, we would like to thank all of our wonderful patrons who have shown their support to our little Greek market," the said. "It has been almost 11 years since we opened and at times, it still feels like yesterday. We've met so many lovely people and made some wonderful friends along the way."

They added: "We were fortunate to have John and Anna Papavasilopoulos purchase the store and continue with the Greek feeling of the shop that people have enjoyed. Please join us in wishing them well on this new venture. Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts."
