LONG ISLAND, NY — Snow totals for the weekend's blast of winter are in — with more snow expected this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Dominic Ramunni, meteorologist with the National Weather Service Office in Upton, said a light snowfall is expected across Long Island Tuesday, with 1 to 3 inches of accumulation expected. The snow is slated to start around 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. and end around 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., tapering off overnight into early Wednesday.

Temperatures Tuesday should hover around the mid-30s, dropping to the upper 20s Tuesday night, he said.

Next, Ramunni said, Long Island will "dry out very briefly," for about 12 to 18 hours, before a "second round" of snow moves through Wednesday evening. That weather event is expected to be a bit milder, with light snow turning into a wintry mix with rain and only light accumulation, he said.

Here are the total's for this past weekend's snowfall.
