LI Weekend Snow Forecast: What To Expect
Mother Nature is expected to send another blast of winter weather to Long Island this weekend. Here's a timeline of what to expect.

LONG ISLAND, NY — Super Bowl weekend will be off to a snowy start across Long Island, according to the National Weather Service.
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 5 p.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. Sunday. Snow and sleet are expected, with accumulations between 3 and 5 inches, and a light glaze of ice also possible, the NWS said.
According to Jay Engle, meteorologist with the NWS office in Upton, temperatures Saturday will range from the low-to-mid 30s, dropping to about 29 or 30 degrees after midnight.

Snow is expected to begin across Long Island in the early evening — with the heaviest of the snowfall expected between 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. or midnight, Engle said. Then, the snow will turn into a wintry mix and end as a freezing drizzle Sunday morning, he said.
Temperatures are expected to reach about 35 degrees Sunday morning, allowing people time to "clean up" any accumulation just in time for the Super Bowl, Engle said.
