Lucharitos Burrito Bar Set To Close Doors In Mattituck — With Plans For New Location

The new location hasn't yet been announced, owner Marc LaMaina said. "We're rolling the dice on an exciting new opportunity."

NORTH FORK, NY — A popular North Fork eatery will be moving soon to a new location.

According to owner Marc LaMaina on social media, Lucharitos Burrito Bar, which first opened in the Mattituck shopping plaza in 2020, will be closing its doors — with October 31 the last day of service at that location.

The eatery will be moving and is "getting ready for a brand-new chapter further west," LaMaina said, adding that the new location has not yet been revealed.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" he said, adding that he was grateful for all the "incredible years," during which "this little spot has been home to nonstop Lucha vibes and spirit. We’re beyond grateful to the amazing Mattituck community, our loyal customers who always showed up, and our plaza peers for keeping the energy high."

LaMaina added: "A huge shout-out to the Cardinale family — our super landlords and true watch dogs. Your care and support never went unnoticed, and you’ll always have us in your corner as a tag team partner. To our team — you guys rock. We can’t wait to bring the heat in the new space and kick some serious butt."

The future is bright, LaMaina said. "We’re rolling the dice on an exciting new opportunity, so keep your eyes peeled for more details and the updated Insta address as we make the move. For now, come see us one last time in Mattituck this month and say 'see ya soon,' — because we’re not disappearing — just getting ready to turn up the Lucha energy in a new home that we hope is going to make you say,. 'Wow, this is awesome!'"

Speaking with Patch, LaMaina said: "We loved our experience there and are moving forward with great anticipation for the brand and the next six months while we make a transition with this model. Our staff are also excited about the challenges that await!"
