Man Charged With Felony DWI After Greenport Crash: Police

He was arrested Sunday, police say.

GREENPORT, NY — A Greenport man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a crash Sunday, police said.

According to Southold Town police, the crash took place at 5:31 p.m. on Front Street. Kyle Skrezec, 27, was arrested and charged with felony DWI, police said.

Skrezec was involved in a crash resulting in personal injury, police said. Officers conducted standardized field sobriety tests on Skrezec; he performed poorly, indicating he was intoxicated by alcohol, police said.

He was placed under arrested, transported to Southold Town police headquarters for processing, and held for arraignment, police said.
