NORTH FORK — Visits and pictures with Santa Claus are treasured traditions for many North Fork families. On the North Fork, kids have several chances to see jolly old St. Nick in person.

When: Saturday, December 7 at 5 p.m.. Rain date, December 8.
Where: Mitchell Park, Greenport

What: The annual parade of lights includes dazzling, illuminate firetrucks, Mr. and Mrs. Claus, who give gifts to, and pose for photos with, Santa, and a performance by the Greenport High School acapella group and a singalong by Greenport Elementary School students.
What: The parade begins at Southold High School, continues east along the Main Road, and ends at the firehouse. Bring the family and be dazzled by our trucks! The event includes a visit with Santa and cookies.
Southold Historical Museum's Annual Holiday Fair
When: Saturday, December 7, beginning at 9 a.m.
Where: Southold Town Recreation Center, 970 Peconic Lane, Peconic, NY 11958.
What: Come shop for holiday treasures at Southold Historical Museum’s Annual Holiday Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7. There will be a variety of local vendors and talented artisans selling their wares, so you're sure to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list. Don't miss out on the "Holiday Auction," where you can take a chance to win amazing gift baskets for all ages. Plus, there will be a bake sale, crafts for children, and a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Christmas Tree Lighting at the Cutchogue Village Green
When: Saturday, December 7, starting at 3 p.m.
Where: Cutchogue Village Green
What: The event includes caroling and a visit from Santa; hear live music from the “Eastern Long Island Old Time Jam,” an acoustic band playing holiday music.
Also, you can plan a visit to the "Pop-Up" Christmas Shop at the Carriage House on the Village Green. Visit the shop Fri. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sat. and Sun. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to find unique decorating items and gifts for the holiday season. Traditional, vintage, Victorian, donated items and more — things you won’t be able to find in other stores. Many new items in stock this year. A genuinely old-fashioned holiday shopping experience; an assortment of Christmas teas and treats will be served. The shop is located on Cases Lane in the back of the green. All proceeds go to the non-profit Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Council.
Mattituck Chamber of Commerce Holiday Party With Santa
When: Saturday, December 7 from noon to 4 p.m.
Where: Santa Day is held at Veterans Park in Mattituck.
What: The event includes hot chocolate, hot dogs, ice cream, cookies, games, live music, and photos with Santa!
When: Sunday, December 22, beginning at 4 p.m.
What: Santa joined by his friends and a caravan of firetrucks will be visiting as many streets as possible to put a smile on everyone’s faces throughout Cutchogue and New Suffolk.
To keep everyone safe, there will be no stops to hand out candy canes, but please keep a look out and give Santa and his friends a wave as he drives by on fire trucks decorated for the occasion! Please listen for the horns and sirens as Santa get close. When you see/hear him coming, make some noise, wave, dance, jump up and down, etc. "We love to see that great holiday energy!" the CFD said. "We ask that if you live on a dead-end street or Cul-de-sac please come to the road that intersects with your street when you hear the sirens!"

Where: Mattituck Presbyterian Church, located at 12605 Main Road in Mattituck, begining at 9 a.m.
What: It's the annual Christmas Fair! Handmade crafts and ornaments, homemade cakes, cookies, pies, breads, soups, Christmas greens, arrangements of fresh plants, a children's shopping room, and much more! Santa will be stopping by, and lunch will be served.
Where:30105 Main Road, Cutchogue
What: Meet and greets with Santa take place on Saturday 12/7 and Sunday 12/8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday 12/14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, 12/15, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday 12/21 and Sunday 12/22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Photos are free, but donations are accepted for the local charity Johanna's Hope.

Sensitive Santa times are held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 12/11 and Friday, 12/20.
