Southold BOE Seeks To Fill Open Seat After Loss
The Southold Board of Education has an open seat after the loss of Paulette Ofrias in April.

SOUTHOLD, NY — The Southold Board of Education is seeking to fill an open seat after the heartbreaking passing of Paulette Ofrias in April.
Southold School Superintendent Dr. Anthony Mauro posted a message announcing the search for a new BOE member: "At the May 21 Southold Board of Education meeting, it was announced that the board is looking to appoint a member for the currently open seat," he said. "The Southold Board of Education will accept letters of interest from any resident who would like to be considered."
The selected candidate will serve until the May 2026 election.
