AT&T Outage Leaves Some Unable To Make Calls Between Carriers: Reports

LONG ISLAND, NY — An AT&T outage left some customers unable to make calls between carriers Tuesday, according to reports.

According to a statement sent to CNN, AT & T said the problem involved calls between carriers. Calls between AT&T customers were still going through, CNN said, but some reported that they couldn't mak. calls at all, customers told Patch in emails.

“The carriers are working as quickly as possible to diagnose and resolve the issue,” a company spokesperson told CNN.
Verizon reported that its network was operating normally. "Some customers, primarily in the Northeast and Midwest, are experiencing issues when calling or texting with customers served by another carrier. We are continuing to monitor the situation."

ABC News 10 in Montgomery County, NY said the outage might leave some unable to call 911.
It's not the first time AT&T customers have been left without the ability to call in recent months: AT&T customers across the United States were sent into a frenzy in February as a mass network outage interrupted service for many.
