How do you know the teacher?

I was a colleague from another district.

What does this person teach?

Business education.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Luanne Nappe goes above and beyond what the average teacher does. She not only teaches business education, (some for college credits) but she runs a DECA business club, a school business advisory board, bridging the gap between local the local business community and her students. In June of 2024, the students dedicated the yearbook to her, based on her endless devotion and love for her students. Her students run an actual business where they make T-shirts on a press that Luanne got with a grant she wrote. How authentic to run a "real business" in a business classroom. She takes her DECA students to Rochester every March to compete in business competitions. Her dedication is endless.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

She lights up a room when she enters. Her students absolutely know this. She is the type of teacher that helps her students in and out of the classroom.
