Wall Of Honor At Mattituck High School Honors Military Heroes
In honor of Veterans Day, an 8th Annual Wall of Honor ceremony will be held at Mattituck Jr. Sr. High School on Nov. 8.

MATTITUCK, NY — In honor of Veterans Day, the Mattituck-Cutchogue School District will honor and remember those who serve with its 8th Annual Wall of Honor ceremony.
The event takes place on Nov. 8 at Mattituck Jr. Sr. High School.
During the event, 16 Mattituck alumni, one faculty member and one superintendent will also be inducted, bringing the total number of honorees to 175.

"The Wall of Honor serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who serve in the military. It also allows the district to thank the alumni for their service, and it ensures that these alumni will serve as role models for students," the district said.
The district thanked all veterans who served with bravery and selfless honor.

- Maryellen Anderson, Class of 1982 – Marine Corps
- Robert A. Brooks, Class of 1975 – Navy
- Roger Burns, Superintendent 1970-1990 – Marine Corps
- Mark Duerwald, Class of 2023 - Coast Guard
- Frank R. Gudson, Class of 1950 – Air Force
- Dennis Harkoff, Class of 1969 – Army
Peter P. Krupski, Class of 1939 – Marine Corps
Frank J. Mele III, Class of 1986 – US Marine Corps
Robert Moffatt, Class of 1991 – Marine Corps
Kevin T. Monahan, Class of 1969 Navy
Nicholas Perino, Class of 2019 – Air Force
Pete R. Rauseo, Class of 2005 – Army
William S. Topping, faculty 1955-1978- Navy
Benjamin Webb, Class of 2019 – Army
Ernest Wilsberg, Class 1940 – Merchant Marine
Harold Wilsberg, Class of 1942 – Merchant Marine
When the ceremony concludes, honorees, families and guests are led to the Wall of Honor to view the plaques of the newly inducted and those inducted before them.
