Wind Advisory In Effect Thursday For Long Island
Gusts of up to 50 miles per hour are possible, the National Weather Service say.

LONG ISLAND, NY — A wind advisory is in effect for Long Island until 10 p.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service said.
Northwest winds from 20 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 50 miles per hour, are expected.
Strong winds will result in some downed tree limbs and a few power outages may result. Unsecured objects will be blown around and/or damaged, the NWS said.

"Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects," the NWS said.
