Woman Arrested, Charged With Felony DWI On Shelter Island: Police
She was ordered to the Suffolk County Probation Department for application of an ankle bracelet to monitor her alcohol level, location: PD
SHELTER ISLAND, NY — A woman was arrested Monday night after driving while intoxicated on Shelter Island, police said.
According to Shelter Island police, Mayelin E. Pacheco-Silverio, 30, of Shelter Island was arrested at 9:36 p.m. Police said she was seen traveling northbound on South Ferry Road.
A traffic stop was initiated and, following an investigation, she was arrested and charged with DWI, previous conviction within 10 years, a felony; aggravated DWI, prior; possession of alcohol-cannabis in a motor vehicle; and failure to keep right on the road, police said.

She was taken into custody, held overnight, and arraigned before the Shelter Island Justice Court where she was released on $1,000 cash bail and ordered to report to the Suffolk County Probation Department for application of an ankle bracelet to monitor her alcohol level and location, police said.
The case is expected to be presented to a grand jury at a later date, police said.

In accordance with the Suffolk County DWI Seizure Law, the vehicle was seized as a result of a prior DWI conviction, police said.
