Woman In Motorized Wheelchair Struck By Vehicle In Greenport: PD
She suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment, police say.

GREENPORT, NY — A Greenport woman, 54, in a motorized wheelchair was struck by a vehicle Thursday, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the incident took place at 1:40 p.m. on 3rd street. A driver, 53, of Greenport, was making a left turn onto 3rd Street with a green light when their vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk in the wheelchair, police said.
The pedestrian fell out of her wheelchair and had complaints of minor pain in her left elbow and shoulder; the Greenport Fire Department transported her to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment, police said.
