The family has raised more than $22K to date.
"The event started in 2005 when my older sister Dylan and I (aged 7 and 5 at the time) first came up with the idea," Zoe Perles, now 23, told Patch.
The family raised $100 its first year. It has since grown into a massive community-wide event.

"Every year it warms my heart to see how much this event means to people in my community," Zoe said. "Each Halloween, I talk to people who have been coming to support us since the first-ever Halloween Bake Sale 19 years ago and to people who are there for the very first time and everything in between. Over the years, my community has rallied to support the Northport Food Pantry and I am so proud and grateful for that."
The bake sale is a year older than Kyra Perles, 18. She said she is "infinitely grateful" she has gotten to grow up alongside it and see it transform into a community event.
"I’m a college freshman now, but when I came home for the weekend to help deliver flyers I was so touched by the community’s genuine interest and excitement about the fundraiser," she said. "I am proud to be part of a town that shows such devotion to giving back to others."
Several businesses around the community support the family. This year's businesses include Copenhagen bakery, Stop & Shop of Northport, the UPS Store of East Northport, IGA of East Northport, Pat's Marketplace and Walgreens of Northport, Northshore Bagels of Northport, and Dunkin' Donuts of Northport, and Mario’s of East Northport.
"It still amazes me sometimes how much of a community-wide event this fundraiser has become," said Dylan Perles, now 25. "We started this in 2005 with one folding table and a single tray of cupcakes. I don’t think any of us could have predicted that 19 years later we’d be known as 'the bake sale house' or that people would remember us every year and ask how they can help before we even put up any of the flyers. It really is a testament to our town’s commitment to helping others."
The menu includes mini loaves, brownies, cookies, pies, cakes, cupcakes and muffins.
