Angry Diner Employee Made Gesture He Had Gun In Northport: Police

The man, who was not in possession of any weapons, was prohibited from entering the diner again, police say.

An employee at Tim’s Shipwreck Diner was arrested last week for causing a disturbance and making a gesture that he was armed, police say.

According to authorities, police responded to the 46 Main St. location for the report that Santino Fufidio, 27, yelled at employees and made a gesture with his hand that he had a gun on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 2:50 p.m.

Officers located Fufidio and determined he was not in possession of any weapons.

An employee then told police that Fufidio threw three wine glasses and a dish at his leg, which broke when they hit the floor, police say. The employee did not want to pursue criminal charges. The diner owner, however, did press charges, police say.

Fufidio was arrested and charged by the with criminal mischief and was prohibited from entering Tim’s Shipwreck Diner.

Fufidio was released on $100 cash bail and was scheduled to return to court on Monday.
