Car Damaged In Northport Was Not Caused By Bullet, Police Say

Anyone with information about this incident can contact Suffolk Police.

A bullet was suspected to be the cause of two dents that were found on a vehicle in Northport on Saturday morning, however police do not believe this is the case.

According to authorities, a man in Centerport reported minor damage to his vehicle that he believed occurred while driving in the Northport area at 11:20 a.m.

Suffolk County Police Officers investigated the damage and do not believe the two dents were caused by a bullet.

Officers canvassed local houses in the area, and no one reported seeing or hearing anything unusual, police say.
