Crime Report: Petit Larceny, Speeding
Recent arrests as reported in the Northport Police district.

Here are some of the recent arrests made in Northport. None of the defendants has been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below.
A Bay Shore was charged with vehicle traffic law violations on Jan. 30 after police say they observed her speeding on Fort Salonga Road in a 2008 Hyundai that had illegally tinted windows. Upon further investigation, police found that the driver’s license was suspended on Jan. 29, 2015, for for failure to answer a summons. The woman was also found to have to active Suffolk County warrants dated Oct. 15, 2014.
A Huntington Station man was brought to Northport Police headquarters by Suffolk County Police on Jan. 31 after he surrendered himself to the Second Precinct on a warrant. He was released on $50 cash bail, according to police.

An East Northport woman was charged with petit larceny on Feb. 1 after being observed on two different dates at King Kullen taking numerous perishable items, placing them in her bag and pockets and leaving without paying or permission to take the times, police say.
