ELWOOD, NY — Evan Creter, a swimmer at Elwood-John H. Glenn High School, is headed to the New York State Swimming Championships, scheduled for Friday and Saturday at Ithaca College, the Elwood School District announced.

Creter, a junior, will compete in the 100-meter backstroke, 200-meter freestyle, 200-meter medley relay and 400-meter freestyle relay events.

John Glenn’s swimmers compete on a combined team with Harborfields, Huntington and Walt Whitman high schools.
