Largest Long Island Running Race Coming Up: Info

NORTHPORT, NY — The 2022 Great Cow Harbor 10K Run is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Saturday in Northport.

The race is the largest Long Island road race and is the USA Track & Field 10K National Championship. While the 10K is sold out with all 5,000 participants accounted for, the 2K remains open.

The Great Cow Harbor 10K Run is considered one of the most prestigious foot races in the country, with Runner's World having named the Great Cow Harbor 10K Run one of the top 100 races in the USA. New England Runner regularly places The Great Cow Harbor 10K Run in its Top 100 Races.

The 2K Fun Run / Walk has also been a huge success, according to event organizers. This run attracts families and participants of all ages. Over 1,000 2K and 5,000 10K entrants are expected.

The Great Cow Harbor 10K Run and 2K Fun Run / Walk, a nonprofit 501 (c) 3, supports Special Olympics, The Northwell Health Foundation, the Veterans Administration, The Ecumenical Lay Council Food Pantry, and other local causes.
