SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Republican incumbent Keith Brown has defeated Democratic challenger Cooper Macco to hold onto his seat in New York's 12th Assembly District. Newsday called the race for Brown on Wednesday afternoon.

Here are the live results, last updated at 3:36 p.m. 119 of 119 districts have reported results.

  • Keith Brown: 29,818 votes
  • Cooper Macco: 21,816 votes

Suffolk County Board of Elections workers had difficulty loading memory cards needed to tally the vote, officials said late Tuesday.

The 12th Assembly District covers Northport, East Northport, Centerport, Eaton's Neck, Asharoken and portions of Fort Salonga, Halesite, Greenlawn, Commack, Elwood, Dix Hills, Deer Park, and North Bay Shore.
