Northport Collecting Winter Garments For 'Operation Warmth'
The collection is in its 20th year. People were encouraged to donate gently-used winter clothing items. Here is how to participate.
NORTHPORT, NY — Got any winter garments you're looking to unload?
The Northport Chamber of Commerce is collecting gently-used cold-weather clothing for its 20th "Operation Warmth."
The items will go to adults and children having trouble affording their own. There is a "great need" for clothing this year, according to the chamber.

The Northport Chamber of Commerce is looking for gently-used warm jackets, coats, hats, gloves and scarves.
People can drop off the materials to one of these locations between Friday and Jan. 20:

- Copenhagen Bakery's rear lobby (75 Woodbine Ave.)
