Voters will also decide on Proposition 2. If passed, it would authorize the district to spend $2,032,761 on district-wide roof replacements and/or repairs and renovations and district-wide HVAC and mechanical reconstruction/renovations. The total cost of the projects will be funded from the Capital Reserve Fund established in 2021.

"It is important to note that since these monies have already been placed in capital reserves, there is no additional tax impact for residents if the proposition is approved," the district stated. "Voter approval is required, however, for the district to expend these monies and use them to complete the projects listed."

Proposition 3, for the purpose of receiving an additional 10 percent in New York State Education Department building aid, would allow the district to launch energy savings improvement project for a district-wide energy management system and demand controlled ventilation at Northport High
School; pumping system at Northport High School; energy efficient motor replacements at the
Administration Building; boiler/furnace/domestic hot water controllers at Northport High School, East Northport and Northport middle schools and Pulaski Road Elementary School; district-wide pipe and valve insulation to the heating system; air conditioning compressor controllers at Northport High School and Northport Middle School; refrigerator equipment upgrades at East Northport Middle School; energy efficient transformers at Northport High School; renewable energy photovoltaic (PV) electric generation roof mounted solar at Northport High School, Northport Middle School and Ocean Avenue Elementary School; and solar PV carports at Northport High School and East Northport Middle School.
