Northport Resident Joins Women's Advisory Commission
Sherry Pavone represents Suffolk County's 18th legislative district.

Northport resident Sherry Pavone has joined Suffolk County’s Women’s Advisory Commission, representing the 18th legislative district.
Comprising a cross-section of women, the commission represents all corners of Suffolk County. The commission suggests programs, advises the Suffolk County Office of Women’s Affairs on policy, and advocates for the advancement of women in Suffolk County.
Pavone was sworn in by Leg. William R. Spencer, M.D. at the commission’s Tuesday meeting.

“Sherry is a passionate woman who is truly dedicated to bettering our community,“ Spencer said.
“I am confident that she will be able to use her past experiences as a retired police officer and teacher, to delve into the issues facing women in Suffolk today and offer insightful solutions to those problems,” he added.

“It is an honor to offer my experience, energy and time to work with Leg. Spencer in his efforts to serve, legislate and advocate for the betterment of women in Suffolk County,” Pavone said.
