Police Log: Overdoses, Raccoon In Home, Suspicious Walker

Monday, April 2
At 10:19 a.m., police responded to a report of a disabled truck due to the weather conditions on Lewis Road. Northport Highway Department responded and freed the truck from the embankment.
At 7:46 p.m., police received a report of a suspicious person walking laps around the Guinta's Shopping Center parking lot on Fort Salonga Road. Police spoke to the man who said he was walking laps for exercise.

Tuesday, April 3
At 9:25 p.m., police responded to a Main Street location for a man overdosing. Officers gained entry through a locked door and administered Narcan along with the Northport Rescue Paramedic. The man was revived and taken to Huntington Hospital. Drug materials were vouchered and placed in temporary bins to be destroyed.

Thursday, April 5
At 12:06 a.m., police received a report of a raccoon inside a Sir Kenneth Court home. The man told police he came home to find the raccoon on the second floor of his home. Officers removed the raccoon from the home using a dog bar.
Friday, April 6
At 5:47 p.m., police responded to a Main Street location for a man overdosing. Officers and the Northport Rescue Paramedic gained entry to the home and administered Narcan. The man was revived and taken to Huntington Hospital.
