Showing Northport Love on Small Biz Saturday

The day included raffle prizes, special discounts and the Annual Leg Lamp Lighting.

Shoppers geared up for the holidays on Northport’s Main Street over the weekend for Small Business Saturday.

Special raffle prizes and discounts added to the excitement, along with the Annual Leg Lamp Lighting.

Showing small businesses support were local leaders including Northport Village Deputy Mayor Henry Tobin, Northport NY-Chamber of Commerce Business Liaison Dorothy Walsh, Leg. William R. Spencer, Vision Long Island‘s Eric Alexander and Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone.

They met with Holly Levis, owner of PETPORT of Northport; Tim Hess, owner of Tim’s Shipwreck Diner; Carlene Afetian, owner of Veronica Rayne Boutique; Kathy Kitts, owner of Artisan House; Bill Reichert, owner of Northport Hardware Co.‘s; and Ruth Koroglian of CowHarbor Fine Gifts and Collectibles.

“With so many shoppers excited for the bargains found on Black Friday, initiatives like Small Business Saturday give our local businesses a chance to compete against big-box stores during one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year,” Spencer said.
