'Sweetest' Thurston And Ginger: Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week
Thurston and Ginger are 7-month-old bonded siblings. "They will bring so much joy into your home and life" if given a chance.

NORTHPORT, NY — Thurston and Ginger, bonded siblings born in June, are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.
Thurston is a tuxedo boy, and Ginger is an all-black girl.
Thurston and Ginger were rescued on the grounds of a country club, found with their siblings as tiny babies, frightened and alone, said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue.

"When NCRA rescued them, they were scared of their own shadows," Wild said. "With lots of TLC in foster care, their beautiful personalities came out, and they are the sweetest kittens."
Thurston is very outgoing, fearless, silly, and affectionate, giving kisses whenever he can, according to Wild. His foster mom called him a "busy body." He has FOMO: fear of missing out.

"Whenever the other cats and his sister, Ginger, were playing, no matter where he was or what he was doing, he would come running to join in on the fun," Wild said.
Ginger is "absolutely beautiful and very smart," Wild said.
"She can be shy, but once she gets to know you, she is playful and loving," she said.
They were both fostered with other cats and got along well with all of them, Wild said. Since leaving foster care, they are now in the rescue's habitats at Petco Commack.
"It is never easy to transition from a loving foster home to a cage, as much as our volunteers do a great job at our habitats," Wild said. "Thurston and Ginger tend to hide under the blankets when visitors come, and so they are getting passed over in a sense. If given just a little time, it is so easy to fall madly in love with this duo, and we know they will bring so much joy into your home and life. They just need someone to take a chance on them."
They are neutered or spayed, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
