'Very Affectionate' George: Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week

NORTHPORT, NY — George, around 1-and-a-half years old, is the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kitty of the Week. He is a "very special boy," said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue.

"George was roaming the streets of Brentwood and was lucky to have been found by a friendly woman who brought him to NCRA," Wild said. "This sweetheart is such a gentle soul; everyone who meets him falls in love. He is sweet, gentle, and very affectionate."

George is "very vocal" and will have a full blown conversation with anyone who will engage with him, according to Wild. He is silly and playful and gets along great with other cats and dogs, too, Wild added.

"What George likes best is sitting with his human friends and snuggling," Wild said. "Whoever adopts George will never regret it."

George is currently at Doggie Don’s in East Northport.

"He loves visitors, so please come on down and meet him!" Wild said.

George is neutered, has all his shots, is litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
