Voter's Guide: Elwood UFSD 2018-19 School Budget, Board Election
What you need to know for election day.

Residents in the Elwood Union Free School District will vote on the school district's $61,606,082 proposed budget for the 2018-19 school year on Tuesday, May 15.
The proposal calls for a 2.11 percent increase in spending over the current year and the tax levy increase is 2.71 percent, which is below the tax levy cap.
Residents will have an opportunity to elect two members to the Elwood Board of Education. Incumbents Heather Mammolito and James Tomeo are running unopposed.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Elwood Middle School Cafeteria, located at 100 Kenneth Ave in Greenlawn.

Residents are invited to attend the district’s budget hearing on Thursday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Elwood Middle School.
Residents can register to vote in the district’s business office in Elwood Middle School any day school is in session from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you voted in a school or general election in the past four years, you are registered and eligible to vote.
A special voter registration session will take place on Wednesday, May 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Elwood Middle School.
