5 Blocks of Park Slope's 5th Ave Will Be Car-Free Saturday Night

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Fifth Avenue will be closed to traffic this Saturday between Sterling Street and Dean Street, as the stretch is turned over to pedestrians, businesses and entertainers for the Park Slope Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District's Summer Stroll.

The event will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and will feature a smorgasbord of activities — including a climbing wall, jugglers, puppetry, a bounce house, face painting by Sharon of Brooklyn, outdoor soccer, a vintage car show and plenty more.

There are also some scheduled events between Prospect Place and Park Place, including:

• Zumba classes by the Prospect Y from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Weights classes put by the UFC Gym Park Slope from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Children's music shows by Amelia Robinson (part of the Mil's Trills troupe) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
