Police Blotter: Man Mugged for iPhone on F Train at 7th Ave. Station

Bad Awakening on F Train

Two crooks mugged a man for his cell phone, wallet, and $70 in cash while he was on an F train near the Seventh Avenue station on Jan. 27.

The 25-year-old victim told police that he fell asleep on a southbound F train, but at around 4:30 a.m. he awoke to two men rummaging through his jacket pocket near the Seventh Avenue subway station on Ninth Street. The thieves, described as two black men wearing black jackets, stole his iPhone, wallet, driver’s license, two credit cards, and $70 in cash. When the train stopped at Seventh Avenue, the two crooks fled.

A crook stole a man’s wallet from a locker inside a Flatbush Avenue gym on Jan. 26.

The 33-year-old victim told police that he went to Crunch, between Sterling and Park places, at around 6:45 p.m. and left his wallet inside his right pants pocket, which he hung up in his locker, but left it unlocked and went to workout. When he returned to the locker room at around 8 p.m., his wallet was gone. The crook got away with his debit card, a 30-day MetroCard, social security card, and $40 in cash. 

Parked Car Stolen from Carroll Street 

A thief boosted a car parked on Carroll Street on Jan. 24.

The 53-year-old victim told police that he parked his Nissan Altima near Polhemus Place at round 1 p.m. When he went to retrieve his ride two hours later, it was gone. Police said a search through the tow logs came up negative.
