Lander Joins Growing Number Concerned Over Methodist Expansion

The proposed Methodist Hospital expansion has garnered increasing concerns from the community, and now City Councilman Brad Lander has joined in.

According to a Daily News report, Lander sent a letter to hospital officials stating the expansion should be smaller and should include more parking. His first comments on the expansion outline what he said are complaints from his constituents.

Methodist has evidently been listening, as they unveiled revised plans at a meeting Thursday. Plans will also be shared Sept. 30 at a community forum sponsored by the Park Slope Civic Council held in the Social Hall of Congregation Beth Elohim, 274 Garfield Place and begins at 6:30 p.m.
