1 Hurt In 2 Crashes Over Weekend In Brookhaven Town: Police

One person was taken to NYU Langone - Suffolk for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Suffolk police say.

BROOKHAVEN TOWN, NY — At least one person was taken to the hospital in two vehicle crashes, including one involving an overturned landscaping truck, over the weekend in Brookhaven Town, Suffolk police said.

In the first crash, a 2010 Toyota pickup landscaping truck was traveling southbound on William Floyd Parkway in Ridge, when the driver lost control and the vehicle overturned at around 8:20 a.m. on Saturday, according to police.

No one was hurt in that crash.

In the second crash, a 2013 Honda was parked on Hospital Road in East Patchogue when it was struck by a 2017 Honda at around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, police said, adding that the driver of the 2017 Honda was taken to NYU Langone Hospital - Suffolk for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
