19-Year-Old Woman Hurt As Care Strikes Tree On Sunrise Highway: Police

She was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Suffolk police say.

NORTH BELLPORT, NY — A 19-year-old woman was hurt Friday night after her car struck a tree on Sunrise Highway in North Bellport, Suffolk police said.

The woman was driving a 2010 Nissan Altima at around 10 p.m. when it struck a tree on the side of the road on Sunrise Highway, around 500 feet east of Station Road overpass, according to police.

She was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
