2 Fires Draw Area Firefighters In Brookhaven Town On Wednesday: Police
One fire started on solar panels, the other on a walking trail, Suffolk police say.
BROOKHAVEN TOWN, NY — Two separate fires — including one on a trail — broke out on Wednesday in Brookhaven Town, drawing area firefighters, Suffolk police said.
In the first fire, solar panels on the roof of a home on Greenbriar Avenue in Holtsville caught fire at around 3:20 p.m., according to police.
In the second incident around two and a half hours later just before 6 p.m., a brush fire broke out on a trail on Brookhaven Avenue between Davidson and Hoffman avenues in North Bellport, police said.
