  2. The man responsible for a fatal drunk crash in Shirley was convicted on Wednesday. Jordan Randolph was highly intoxicated on the day of the incident. Police tried to pull him over due to impaired driving. However, he fled at high speed and hit another vehicle killing a 27 year- old driver from Westhampton Beach. The sentencing is in March. He faces fifteen years in prison. (Patchogue Patch)
  3. A family from Shirley is desperately looking for their coonhound-beagle mix, "Zeke," who got lost on Sunday during a home fire. Two neighbors spotted Zeke escaping through the backyard fence during the incident. Another person reported Zeke was in the wooded area of the Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge.
