HOLTSVILLE, NY — Two people were taken to a local hospital after a fire broke out at a home in Holtsville on Sunday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

The fire broke out at the Cedar Avenue home at around 1:30 p.m., according to police.

Two people were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, while a third one was taken as a precaution, police said.

Arson Squad detectives are investigating the cause of the fire, according to police.
