4 Hurt In 3-Vehicle Crash On Sunrise Highway In East Patchogue: Police

A sedan traveling westbound slid on the wet roadway and crossed to the eastbound side between exits 54 and 55, Suffolk police say.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — Four people were taken to NYU Langone - Suffolk in East Patchogue after they were involved in a three-vehicle crash on Sunrise Highway on Saturday, Suffolk police said.

Just before 8 a.m., a 2004 Toyota sedan driven by a female driver that was traveling westbound slid on the wet roadway and crossed to the eastbound side of Sunrise Highway between exits 54 and 55 where it struck two other vehicles, according to police.

The vehicles included a 2013 Toyota pickup, which was driven by a male driver and had one male passenger, and a 2011 Honda SUV, which was also driven by a male, police said.

They received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
