Here are the top four stories in Patchogue today:

  1. The first Sip and Shop Crawl will be hosted by the Patchogue Chamber of Commerce and the Retail Association. The event will run from Dec. 1 through 15. Participants will enjoy deals and holiday treats in the Village! You can learn the details here. (Patchogue CofC)
  2. A NYC Police officer was found dead at his house in Suffolk County. The 44-year- old officer was off-duty. Sources say that his wife found his body. The cause of death being investigated is believed to be an "accidental" death. (NY Post News)
  3. Crafts, gifts and more will be on sale at the St. John's Greek Orthodox Church's Holiday Boutique. The church is at 77 Montauk Highway in Blue Point. Food and frappes will be a plus! The event is set for Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Patchogue Patch Events)
  4. This is the time of the year most porches are filled with delivery boxes for the holidays. This time also can raise concerns over your item's safety as "porch pirates" are on the lookout for stealing the boxes. Long Island News 12 published an article with safety tips to help you to avoid "losing" your packages. (LI News12)
