An anonymous email threatened "trouble" if Patchogue's Alive After Five festival is allowed to happen this summer.
The email, which was sent to festival organizers and LGBTQ community members, said "there will be trouble for sure" and called the festival's pride theme "a platform for homosexual perversion and filth."
Received another anonymous hate letter threatening @LGBTNetworkNY @LIPride events. Intent is to instill fear; its not! We are out there fiercer than ever before. And to the writer, if you think my "kingdom" is spreading too far, you ain't seen nothing yet! https://t.co/3Rz9qkQpsI

The letter mentioned David Kilmnick of the LGBT Network of New York, and said "that 'Pride' parades have appeared in other towns is scary enough."
"We are out there fiercer than ever before," Kilmnick said in a tweet. "And to the writer, if you think my 'kingdom' is spreading too far, you ain't seen nothing yet!"
The Alive After Five street festival is held on four Thursdays in the summer. The first one this year is on June 27 and officials said there are no plans to cancel the event. However, organizers said there will be extra security.
