  1. A blood drive will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Patchogue on Jan. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event honors the National Blood Donor Honor. All donations will help the New York Blood Center. The church is at 495 North Ocean Ave. (Patchogue Patch)
  2. Did you know there is a new challenge for readers at the Patchogue-Medford Public Library? There are lots of categories to compete in this year!   3. Patchogue Theatre hosted the 'Jam for JoeJo' last Thursday to help Joe Cassone, whose house burned before Christmas. Sadly, he lost his cat in the tragic incident.   4. A newly remodeled Burger King is now open on Ocean Avenue. The eatery is operating at 2250 N. Ocean Ave. About $1.8 million were invested in giving the food chain spot a "new face."(Long Island Business News)
